IP What?!?!?!?!

IPO - Interpolation....don't ask me.

Use A to select all. T to select IPO tpye and he selected constant and it straightened all the curves to lines. By doing this, the smooth movement that was found on the curves, has now changed to a bouncy or quick effect.

ok...so this is what i know. I know that you can adjust the movement of an object via the IPO curve. I also know that I have to watch the video one mor time before I can really make an educated statement about IPO curves.

Hold control and left click to create new points on the curve.

Over the Mountains and the Sea

Doing realistic looking mountains was not easy. The modelling of the mountains was the hardest thing for this task. After the, it was finding the right colours, material and texture to make them look realistic.

Firstly, I went into Add: Mesh: Plane. I went into Edit Mode and hit "w" and sub-divided the plane about four times. This just divides the plane into small squares...each time getting smaller as you press sub-divide. I then used pressed 1 to see the side view and used "b" to select the various vertices and raised them to looked kinda hilly and did the same on the top and at the other side. When i finished with the "hilly" look. It was time to colour it.

T therefore went into the Shading button, and changed the material to green. I wanted to make my mountain look a little more realistic so I decided to add some "hair" which would look a little like grass. I really just played around with the buttons until I got something looking like hair. I added another plane to make a little pond/lake in the middle of my mountains. To add the environment, I went into Shading again and clicked Stars.

They showed a preview of it. It was as easy as a click of a button. For the camera movement now, I went into the Animation SR1, selected the camera, clicked "i", Selected "loc", changed the frames to 50 and selected "loc" again.

You can click on the graph button and bring up the position button. On the graph bar, you will see the curves straighten out. Here you can edit the movement of the object by moving the little nodes on the graph.

Materials and Textures

A material is the combination of textures, colours and so on.....you can have a red, metallic looking colour and then apply it to a surface.

Ok...this is about it that we did........but I'm going to publish it anyways.

Scale=S
Position=P
Opacity (Transparency)=T

Can use F2 to deselect stuff.

Blender 2

Today's class was all about G=grabbing, R= rotating and S=scaling. When you press "i" you can insert keyframe and tell the object to move, rotate or scale or all three. When editing Mesh, it has a face mode, a vertex mode and edge.

Modifiers are like preset actions that you can apply.

Multimedia Take 1

Hold the shift key to move up and down.
Hold control key to move left and right.
Left mouse button, click and drag would give you a 3-d view of the object.

You can use three views. You can see side, top and front.

Viewport shading can use wire frame.

Use tab key to use the edit command.

Hold shift if you want to select more than one object.

B=band to drag mouse and select many.

Render farm translate what you have done into a movie.

3d modeling like a sculpting.

keyframe animation...similar to flash.

All the different properties of a model can be keyframed e.g. the size of the model, if you want it to grow overtime, you can actually have a size property to determine how it is to move.

You could have a keyframe for colors and textures.

Lighting and shading.
Can manage fog or stars to change the environment.

Character Animation in 3D is actually faster. The computer puts moves into places that you have left put.

I watched this video and it helped a little. Unfortunately, the continuation of the videos have been cancelled. I dunno why.

If you draw a vertical line, you can move the mouse up and down and you would be able to move the screen up and down. The same occurs when drawing a horizontal line.

NB: Can do video and audio editing in Blender.

To zoom in and out, you the scroll wheel.

Shift+scroll wheel= up and down
Control+command+scroll wheel= left and right
Click and hold middle mouse=can rotate around

Tab jumps between object mode and edit mode.
